Valentyna Yakubiv was born on June 6, 1981, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In 1998, she graduated with honors from Secondary School No. 22 in Ivano-Frankivsk.

From 1998 to 2003, she studied at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University at the Faculty of Economics. In 2003, she received a specialist diploma with honors in “Accounting and Audit.”

In 2003, she entered postgraduate studies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, majoring in 08.00.04 – Economics and Enterprise Management (by types of economic activity), which she completed ahead of schedule in 2005 by successfully defending her PhD thesis.

From 2005 to 2015, she worked at the Department of Accounting and Auditing of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, building an academic career from assistant to professor.

Her next scientific achievement was the defense of her doctoral dissertation, “Strategy of Balanced Development of Agricultural Enterprises,” in the specialty 08.00.04 – Economics and Enterprise Management (by types of economic activity), in 2011. At that time, Valentyna Yakubiv was the youngest Doctor of Sciences in Prykarpattia.

From 2012 to 2014, she was a Scholar of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists.

In 2015, she began her practical management career as the head of the department at the newly established Department of Management and Business Administration. During her tenure, the department launched three specialties: “MBA – Master of Business Administration,” “Management of Educational Institutions,” and “Public Management and Administration.”

In 2015, Valentyna Yakubiv founded the School of Business and Management, where she serves as a business trainer in time management, personal effectiveness, strategic management, personnel management, leadership, and team building.

Since 2017, she has been working as a visiting professor at the University of Łódź (Republic of Poland), where she teaches in English at the Faculty of Management.

In 2018, she received the academic title of Professor of the Department of Management and Business Administration.

Since 2019, she has served as the Vice-Rector for Research at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In 2021, she became a co-founder of the GCIP Regional Accelerator for Innovations, Technologies, and Startups in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In October 2022, she was appointed First Vice-Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Since 2022, she has been working as a visiting professor at the AGH University of Krakow (Republic of Poland), where she teaches in Polish at the Faculty of Management.

From 2022 to 2025 – Member of the Presidium of Vice-Rectors for Research of higher education institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Since November 2025 – Rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.

Her life motto is expressed in the words of A. Einstein: “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”
